PURPOSE

The Rainbow Leaders’ Summit is a gathering of leaders, doers, and decision-makers from across Australia’s rainbow communities. It’s not a typical conference — it’s an experience designed for listening, questioning and imagining together.

We’ll engage in the conversations that matter: exploring our aspirations as leaders, the world we want to shape and what it takes to move there together.

How can we strengthen collaboration and amplify impact — not as separate organisations and voices, but as a diverse community of leaders and changemakers with shared hopes for the future?

Our mission is to create the space to share our experiences, test ideas, challenge assumptions, and build alliances. By leaning into curiosity and connection, we can leave with stronger relationships, fresh insights, and a clearer sense of the collective path ahead.

  • This Summit is for leaders, changemakers, and trailblazers in rainbow communities — and the allies who work alongside us — who are ready to explore new ideas, question old assumptions, and lean into courageous conversations.

    With space for up to 100 participants, we’re prioritising a rich diversity of voices across organisations, identities, backgrounds, and abilities.

    If you’re ready to test ideas, sit with tough questions, and build genuine connections that strengthen our collective impact, this gathering is for you.

  • Unlike a typical conference with a set agenda and a line-up of panels or keynotes, this summit is designed as a participatory experience.

    The day is built around interactive activities where participants generate the content, explore the questions that matter most to them, and co-create insights together.

    What you can expect is a carefully guided flow that balances structured moments for connection, exploration, and reflection with open space for participants to shape discussions. Think of it less as a schedule of sessions and more as a learning journey; where the value comes from what we create with one another in the room.

    There will be:

    • A clear start and close to the day

    • Individual reflection, small and large-group dialogue and activities

    • Breaks to recharge

    Rather than a published program, we’ll provide you with orientation and guidance throughout the day so you know exactly where we are in the process.
