Learning Programs

Terms & Conditions

The Equality Project® uses the term “learning program” to refer to any structured learning experience, including workshops, training sessions, and other interactive educational events designed to support skill-building and personal growth.

The Equality Project® reserves the right to amend the nature and form of program delivery at any time, and will do so only when absolutely necessary. This can include, among other things, a change of delivery location, rescheduling of program days, or moving some or all components of programs online as a result of government public health and safety directions or for any other reason. In the event of a change, The Equality Project® will contact all enrolled participants and/or their organisational representatives.

MINIMIUM ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

If the minimum number of participants required for any learning program is not met, The Equality Project® reserves to right to cancel or postpone the event.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All participants, facilitators, and contributors are required to follow our Code of Conduct, aiming to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Harassment or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated, and any issues should be reported to the facilitators or staff. Those violating the Code of Conduct may be removed without refund.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  • Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of the community.

  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.

  • Attempt collaboration before conflict.

  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert the facilitators, trainer, organiser, volunteer, and staff if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.

Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of The Equality Project®. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

Full attendance is essential to complete the program successfully. This includes attending all in-person days and at least 90% of online sessions, where applicable. Please arrive on time, avoid phone use during sessions (except for accessibility), and commit fully to both yours and others’ learning. In addition:

To help foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, and in service of your own learning, you are:

  • Expected to support your own wellbeing and that of others;

  • Expected to commit to attending the full program. Late arrivals, early departures, or partial participation can impact both learning and the psychological safety of all participants. If you miss the first hour, any initial program day, or plan to attend only part of a multi-day program, you will not be able to participate.

  • Expected to refrain from using your phone during sessions unless required for accessibility.

By participating, you acknowledge that the program is structured as a learning experience centred on skill-building and personal growth, and is not intended to serve as a therapeutic or counselling space.

REGISTRATION

Registrations are refundable up to 30 days before the program begins. To stay updated, please provide accurate contact information, and check spam folders as The Equality Project® isn’t responsible for missed communications.

Participant enrolment (registration) may be transferable to another individual but may not be credited to an equivalent or subsequent program.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO COVERAGE

Images and videos may be taken for internal use, including on The Equality Project®’s digital platforms. By attending, you consent to this media usage. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform us in advance.

MAILING LIST

Upon enrolling, participants will be added to The Equality Project® mailing list for updates, with an option to unsubscribe.

The Equality Project® reserves the right to modify these terms as needed.
