Advocacy Masterclass Sydney

  • K & L Gates 1 O'Connell Street Sydney, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)

How do you initiate, activate, and lead the narrative to effect positive social change?

Advocacy Masterclass is a 2-day training program that builds on the core skills, knowledge, and techniques of today's LGBTIQ+ advocates to effect positive social and cultural change.

Topics we will cover include:

  • Story of Self

  • Creating Change - How to Design a Campaign

  • Human-Centred Design

  • Media Engagement for Long-Term Change

Who should attend?

We encourage advocates, change-makers, and emerging leaders and allies in the LGBTIQ+ community to be part of this exciting program.

You should attend if:

  • You want to hone your skills as a spokesperson and find out how to engage with the media effectively and tell powerful stories that move the hearts and minds of the people and communities that matter.

  • You want to explore how to redefine problems and challenge assumptions in an attempt to find alternative solutions.

  • You are interested in finding practical and actionable methods to inspire people to action.

  • You want to practice a solution-based approach to solving problems.

  • You want to turn your complex ideas and asks into easily understood, shareable messages that will reframe the conversation.

  • You want to expand your network and collaborate with other passionate advocates in a meaningful way.
