Creating a Rainbow-Positive Organisation

MELBOURNE // 1ST SEPT 2022

Learn what it would take to Rainbow Tick your organisation, and leave with an action plan to make your workplace more LGBTIQA+ inclusive.

What is this program?

This half-day (in-person) training program gives you the tools you can use right now to become more inclusive in your workplace. Learn how to help diverse communities feel celebrated and included and discover the What and the How of the Rainbow Tick Accreditation process.

Topics we will cover:

  • What, why and how to create an inclusive workplace

  • Introducing and demystifying the Rainbow Tick accreditation process

Who is this for?

You should attend if you work in an organisation or business and:

  • You know that you want to create an inclusive workplace, and you want to build a simple, practical action plan to make that happen that is specifically relevant to your organisation or business

  • You want to understand what the Rainbow Tick Accreditation is and why your organisation or business might want to go through the accreditation process;

  • You want the 101 on how the Rainbow Tick Accreditation Process works, so you can decide if it’s something you can pursue;

  • You are excited to meet and network with other people from like-minded workplaces.

The workshop will be facilitated by leading community advocate, Jac Tomlins. Jac led the multi-award-winning Rainbow Tick Accreditation at VincentCare and has provided strategic advice and practical guidance to numerous organisations and services on LGBTIQ inclusive practice and Rainbow Tick Accreditation.

Tea and coffee will be provided on the day. Tickets $25.

This event is an initiative of The Equality Project and is proudly supported by the City of Melbourne.
