READY, SET, GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Community Action Sprint
About
Welcome to the Community Action Sprint — a new way to help community-led ideas take shape and grow. Inspired by our popular Solution Sprint workshops: fast-paced, hands-on sessions that help teams unlock fresh thinking and turn ideas into action.
We invite South Australian-based groups supporting rainbow communities to join us for this pilot on Wednesday 6th August 2025.
Designed for community groups and organisations involved in community activations and local initiatives that drive positive change for rainbow communities, this 3-hour workshop gives your team the space, support and tools to quickly define the problem you want to solve and develop a practical idea to tackle it.
Through a fast-paced, hands-on process, you’ll unpack the challenges your community faces, generate solutions, and shape them into a clear project. Along the way, you’ll also be supported to define your Theory of Change — a simple but powerful way to map out how your idea leads to real impact.
You don’t need a polished plan — just a shared commitment to making a difference.
Who is this for?
This sprint is for community organisations, grassroots groups, and small teams in South Australia who are:
Supporting rainbow (LGBTIQA+) communities
Involved in community activation or local initiatives
Working on or exploring ideas that align with community-determined priorities for better health and wellbeing
Able to attend in-person as a team of 2 to 4 people
Whether you’ve got a rough idea or a half-formed plan, this session will help you shape it into something strong, clear, and ready to move forward.
WHEN: Wed 6th August 2025, 5.30pm - 8.30pm
WHERE: Diverse-City, 163 Gouger Street, Adelaide

Why take part?
This isn’t just a workshop — it’s a launchpad. The Community Action Sprint helps you do the thinking that most people avoid until they have to write a funding application.
In this workshop, you’ll clarify the problem you want to solve, design a practical response, and begin to shape your Theory of Change, a tool that shows how your idea leads to real-world impact. It’s one of the most important things funders look for, and we’ll help you break it down step by step.
You’ll leave with:
A clearer understanding of the change you want to make
A project idea that’s ready to move forward
A clear Theory of Change you can build on
New confidence in your voice and your vision
