Backing Those Who Build Belonging

Every day across Australia, people are working quietly, steadily, and courageously to create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

They’re the community organisers holding leadership workshops in remote towns.

They’re the frontline workers building bridges across differences.

They are the people showing up, even when it is hard, often without the resources they need.

At The Equality Project, our mission is to back them. Not just with good intentions — but with training, tools, and national programs that help everyday leaders turn connection into action.

It’s not glamorous work. It doesn’t make the headlines.

But it changes lives, sometimes in ways that are hard to measure until you see a young health worker find their voice, or a city CEO and a regional advocate find common ground and a shared future.

This is the Australia we believe in:

Fair. Connected. Courageous.

And we know it doesn’t happen by chance. It happens because people invest in it with their time, their hearts, and yes, their donations. This End of Financial Year, we’re asking you to stand with us.

Your donation helps us to reach further.

It helps us deliver more programs to communities who are ready to lead, but need a hand to get there.

It helps us build a future where everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, has a seat at the table.

Since we began in 2018, we have backed and supported:

  • 2,666 scholarships awarded to emerging leaders and advocates

  • 4,761 delegates brought together at our national Better Together® gatherings

  • 1,283 trainees equipped through our workshops and programs

That’s over 8,700 changemakers reached, connected and empowered. And counting.

Your donation helps us grow this impact even further.

The Equality Project® is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

Your donation is tax-deductible, and more importantly, it’s meaningful.

Donate before 30 June and help us back those who are building belonging — one leader, one conversation, one community at a time.
