Adaptive Leadership Program 2026

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Places are limited to 24 and we commit to venue, catering and facilitation costs well before the program runs. These terms let us hold a place for you while keeping the cohort viable for everyone in it.

These terms are specific to the Adaptive Leadership Program and take precedence over The Equality Project's general learning program terms and conditions wherever the two differ, including on cancellation, refunds and transfers.

Confirming your place

Registrations open 7 September 2026 and close 16 November 2026.

You can pay by credit card at the point of registration, which reserves your place immediately. If your organisation is paying by invoice, we issue the invoice to whoever you nominate and copy you in. Payment is due within 14 days.

Your place is held from the moment you complete the registration form. It is confirmed once we receive payment or a purchase order.

The fee tier that applies is the one in force on the date you register, not the date you pay. Early bird registrations made on or before 21 October keep the early bird rate even if the invoice is settled later.

If you register within 30 days of day one, payment is due immediately rather than on 14-day terms.

If you need to cancel

All cancellations must be sent in writing to mail@equality.org.au. The date we receive your email is the date we use.

  • 30 days or more notice: Full refund, less a $250 administration fee

  • 15 to 29 days notice: 50% of fees paid

  • 14 days or less notice: No refund

For the December 2026 program, 30 days before day one falls on 2 November 2026 and 14 days falls on 18 November 2026.

If you do not attend and have not told us in advance, no refund applies.

These charges apply whether or not your invoice has been paid. If you cancel inside the 30-day window with an invoice outstanding, we will issue a credit note for the refundable portion and the balance remains payable.

Sending someone else instead

You can substitute another person from your organisation at any time up to seven days before day one, at no cost. Send us their name and email and we will handle the rest.

The substitute needs to meet the same participation requirements, including completing the online induction and pre-work. If they qualify for a different fee tier, we will invoice or refund the difference.

Substitution is usually the better option if the difficulty is a diary clash rather than a change of plan. Nobody loses the place and the learning stays in your team.

If we cancel the program

If we cancel the program, you can choose a full refund or a place in the next scheduled program.

If we need to change the dates, venue or facilitator, we will tell you as soon as we can. If a change of dates does not work for you, you can transfer to the next program or take a full refund.

We are not able to cover travel, accommodation or any other costs you incur, so please consider that before booking non-refundable travel.

Code of conduct

All participants, facilitators and contributors are expected to help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Harassment or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated. Report any issues to the facilitators or to mail@equality.org.au.

We expect participants to:

  • Take part in an authentic and active way

  • Exercise consideration and respect in speech and actions

  • Attempt collaboration before conflict

  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behaviour and speech

  • Speak up if they notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or a breach of this code, even if it seems minor

Participants who breach the code may be sanctioned or removed from the program without a refund, at our discretion. Anyone asked to stop harassing behaviour is expected to comply immediately.

Attendance and participation

Full attendance across all three days is required to complete the program. Please arrive on time and avoid phone use during sessions, except where needed for accessibility.

This program is a skill-building and personal growth experience. It is not a therapeutic or counselling space.

Photography and video

We may take photos and video during the program for internal use and on our digital platforms. Attending means you consent to this. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, let us know in advance.

Registering adds you to The Equality Project mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Your rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
