Terms & Conditions

The Equality Project® reserves the right to amend the nature and form of course delivery at any time, and will do so only when absolutely necessary. This can include, among other things, a change of delivery location, rescheduling of program days, or moving some or all components of programs online as a result of government public health and safety directions or for any other reason. In the event of a change, The Equality Project® will contact all enrolled participants and/or their organisational representatives.

MINIMIUM ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

If the minimum number of participants required for any training event or program is not met, The Equality Project® reserves to right to cancel or postpone the event.

Participant enrolment (registration) may be transferable to another individual but may not be credited to an equivalent or subsequent program.

REGISTRATION

Your registration is refundable up to 30 days before the event.
The Equality Project® is not liable for any lost or missed communication via email. To ensure you receive the latest information about the training event, please provide your correct full name and email address. Remember to check your spam folder regularly.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO COVERAGE

From time to time The Equality Project® may take photos and videos of attendees and presenters during the event. These images are for The Equality Project's use only and may appear on The Equality Project's website, newsletter, social media outlets and other future promotional material. By virtue of your attendance, you agree to usage of your likeness in such media. If you do not wish to be photographed please let us know.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, partners and volunteers at our training events are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct.

Our aim in hosting events is to build community. To that end, our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels welcome to participate, speak up, ask questions, and engage in conversation. We invite all those who participate in this event to help us create safe/brave and positive experiences for everyone.

The Equality Project is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate during any aspect of the event/conference, including talks, workshops, parties, social media such as Twitter, or other online media.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  • Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of the community.

  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.

  • Attempt collaboration before conflict.

  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert community leaders/organisers/volunteers/staff if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.

Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of The Equality Project®. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

ATTENDANCE

Successful completion of the Leadership Training program requires 100% attendance of all in-person program days and 90% attendance of online programs (if applicable) and group activities.
