We offer scholarships to our events and training programs for LGBTIQ+ advocates, change-makers and emerging community leaders.
We encourage applicants from regional and rural areas, multicultural/multifaith communities and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities to apply.

Apply for a scholarship to Canberra LTA +
The ACT Government Office for LGBTIQ Affairs is offering a limited number of scholarships to LGBTIQ youth leaders in the ACT to attend the Equality Project Leadership Training Academy (LTA) in Canberra on 10-11 October 2018.
The Office is seeking short expressions of interest from Canberrans aged 18-30 to attend the LTA. The Office will pay the training fees for Canberra attendees. If you wish to attend the training please submit an expression of interest comprising a statement (maximum 500 words) outlining your interest in the LTA and how it would benefit your personal and professional development and a CV outlining your voluntary work and leadership roles to date.
We are looking for a diverse range of participants particularly those who are from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with a disability, women and non-binary people – and those at the intersections of these identities.
A selection advisory committee will review expressions of interest and select scholarship recipients. Expressions of interest should be sent to LGBTIQOffice@act.gov.au by no later than 31 August 2018. Applicants will be notified of the decision by the end of September.
After completing the LTA, scholarship holders will be required to provide to the Office a 1-2 page written report about the training and how they will use/apply their learnings in the Canberra community, as well as attend a feedback session with the Office.
